The city of Cancun is young, as are most of its permanent and temporary inhabitants. 35 years ago it was a small sand barrier and fishing village when the government decided to develop it into the tourism and vacation haven that it is today. Cancun is a medium-sized coastal city and a long, thin island connected to brdges on the north and south end. It features many world-class resorts, hotels, nightclubs, and malls. It appeals to a variety of travelers as it ranges from all-day fun party beaches to isolated, tranquil islands and everything in between. This range is what makes it so appealing and has resulted in it being Mexico's most popular resort paradise.

It is correct the city of Cancun is still very young, however its tourist development progresses on foot very large and it is really because the geographical location allows you to flourish as the best destination in Mexico, it has many attractions such as Cancun ziplines, water tours, tour in the jungle, among others
